Visit to the centre on the anniversary of Mrs. Santosh Mahendrajit Singh's passing away

The 16th of April, 2009, marked the 2nd anniversary of my grandmother's passing away. My sister Sunaina, my wife Divya, my aunt Suchitra and I visited the Spastics Centre. Mrs. Naronha kindly gave us a tour of the facilities and helped us distribute some chocolates and biscuits to the children, a tradition our Dadi had started to mark important milestones. The children graciously accepted these goodies with an enthusiastic "Thank You" and beaming smiles. There were many amongst them, Shivli being one of the foremost, to remind the staff of this memorable day, surely a sign of the love and attachment they had, and still have for their beloved "Aunty". Mrs. Naronha updated us on the goings-on at the Centre, the headway being made in various aspects of services being provided to the children and personal victories, be they great or small, achieved by individual students. Running a centre of this calibre, solely funded by private donors has its fair share of trials and tribulations. However, the brilliant smiles on these beautiful children's faces is a testament to the love and care they receive at this garden of hope, namely, The Spastics Centre.

I'm attaching some pictures I took of the children that day.
